An attack made with the piercing keyword discards any tough status card from the target of the attack before dealing (applying) damage.
- Allies, minions and villains can have the piercing keyword.
- Attachments, or upgrades, can give piercing to identities.
- Attacks made with an event that has piercing on it apply for that event only.
- Attacks from supports or upgrades that have piercing on them apply for that effect only, not your identity.
