We made this page to collect all of the information on the upcoming X-Men rated content for Marvel Champions. This is not an official news page for Fantasy Flight Games or Marvel. This is our speculations and what ever we found on the internet. We will try to keep it up to date with post and streams.

Deadpool

Deadpool has been officially announced as a Hero Pack coming in Wave 7. Interestingly, he seems to come with his own aspect – ‘Pool’.

Angel

Angel has been officially announced as a Hero Pack coming in Wave 7. From the official article, we can tell he comes with Protection.

X-23

X-23 has been officially announced as a Hero Pack coming in Wave 7. From the official article, we can tell she comes with Aggression.

Phylocke

Phylocke has been officially announced as a Hero Pack coming in Wave 7. From the official article, we can tell she comes with Justice. She has the psionic trait that allows her to use the super strong psionic-only cards. She has a bad hand size (4) but her inbuilt resources compensates for it. However she is yet another here with Setup ability that puts in a persmanent card (like Wolverine). Hopefully they finally have an official ruling on that with her release.

Marvel Champions – Next Evolution!

That is right! The wall teaser image that FFG posted was as most people expected – an X-Force themed expansion! But why is Deadpool not in it? We’ll have to wait and see. The expansions follows the same model as its predecessors – two heroes and their respective decks and and a scenario.

Gambit’s Release Dates:

Release Date USA: August 18, 2022 ($44.99)
Release Date UK: August 12, 2022 (RRP £44.99) (again, it could be delayed…)

New Heroes in NeXt Evolution:

Cable brings in some player side schemes. Don’t worry Justice players, Cable has some more work for you.
Domino loves to discard cards from her deck to do things. Not only that, she cares about wild resources that are printed on almost all of her cards. I guess restriction cost cards will not be a problem for Domino!

Marvel Champions Future Packs

With the new expansion reveal we also got a hint for the next 4 heroes that are coming after it. We are speculating that these are alter ego silhouettes as all of the other ones have been so far. FFG have said that they’re all members of X-Force, which helps to narrow things down, and as they’re going to be heroes that people will be excited to play, here’s who we think they are:

- First (on the left) – female reading a book. My first thought was Magik, as she is a hero I was expecting to see. But Matt rightly pointed out that she has never been in the X-Force, and the snack she is eating – why on a stick. He voted X-23, as that is a snack on her claw. And damn I am sold. We think it is Laura Kinney.
- Second – male in a trench coat. You can’t have the X-Force without Archangel. Also we we know he is ashamed of his wings and hides them all the time. All of that adds up to make us believe that the second figure is Warren Kenneth Worthington III, previously printed as an ally.
- Third – this one we are not sure. Female. The gloves could be a give away if it wasn’t an alter ego form. She gives us a lot of Marvel Girl vibes. Because Jean Grey has already been printed, Matt’s vote is on a different Summers – Hope Summers. We will rescue her in this expansion right? I on the other hand believe you can’t have a X-Force without Psylocke, so my vote goes for Betsy Braddock.
- Last person – Assume male. Matt is feeling Fantomex, and I am all for it! I would love to see that as a hero! However, I see something different when I look at the silhouette. I think this is a male eating some kind of food, maybe chimichangas? Yes, I think it’s Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool.

Released

Gambit

Gambit has been officially announced as a Hero Pack coming in Wave 6. From the official article, we can tell he comes with Justice. Best thing about him seems to be the ability to thwart while in alter ego form, and he brings some justice cards that can do that.

Rogue

Rogue is now officially been announced as a Hero Pack coming in Wave 6, along-side Gambit.

Cat is out of the bag. Wolverine has been officially announced as a Hero Pack coming in Wave 6. From the official article, we can tell he comes with Aggression. From a sneak peek tweet we can also say that his signature ally is Jubilee.
